“A writer, I think, is someone who pays attention to the world. That means trying to understand, take in, connect with, what wickedness human beings are capable of; and not be corrupted — made cynical, superficial — by this understanding.”—Susan Sontag on literature and freedom (via explore-blog)
1 year of high school, had to drop out. 1 month of college, had to drop out. 2 years of opioid addiction >fuckup with a GED 7 months clean 1.5 months of college, had to drop out. >wash out with no direction

So. Should I stick to the pen, as it captures emotion best, the typewriter, as it is a beautiful piece of machinery that many of my favorite writers preferred, or write on my computer, where I’m most comfortable and can pen down ideas without much effort?
annoying old lady with a ~2yo and a baby that wont shut up
pregnant single lady alone at a table, tearing up on the phone
I can hear someone yelling at her when casually walking by
then he hung up on her. She kept her cool. The old lady’s baby stopped crying and fell asleep. The old lady goes on to have a moment of peace, explaining the concept of talking quietly in public. The kid understood, acted fine from then on.
Thats when I saw that rather attractive single mother look over at the old lady and the kid, touch her stomach, and smile.
